The prestigious Guinness World Records has added another feather to Dubai's cap.
Princess Tower, developed by the property group Tameer, has been officially recognized as the world’s tallest residential building by the Guinness authorities. The tower is located in Dubai Marina and stands at a staggering 414 metres from base to tip. Princess Tower has 107 storeys with six basement floors, one ground floor, 100 above-ground levels and 8 retail stores.
The property is spread over an area of 37,410 square feet, housing 763 luxury apartments, including one, two, three and four bedroom apartments plus penthouse apartments overlooking Palm Jumeirah.
“This is one instance when saying we feel on top of the world is completely justified,” Federico Tauber, President of Tameer said in a statement.
“This is a very proud moment for TAMEER and for the city of Dubai, which now holds the twin distinction of being home to the world’s tallest building and the world’s tallest residential building.”
