Dubai Transport Corporation to invest $13.6 million in new building

Construction works for the new headquarters of Dubai Transport Corporation  ith a total cost of Dh 50 million ($13.6 million), will start next month, reported the Emirates newspaper, Al-Bayan on April 10, 2005. The project includes establishment of a new integrated workshop, service facilities for 2700 vehicles, new tunnels for fuel purchase and car wash center.


The new building stretched upon 136,394 square meters area and is composed of three floors in addition to an underground floor, which will serve as training and services center for the drivers. The three other floors will serve for all the company's administration, financial, and technological departments.


The need for a new building rose as a result of the company's growth and the increase of its workers' number, in addition to the expansion of its vehicle fleet and the diverstification of the services it supplies to the public.
