Dubai Studio City (DSC) announced Tuesday that it has awarded the contract for designing its master plan to HOK, a global architectural firm that specialises in planning, design and delivery solutions for buildings and communities.
The Dh400 million Dubai Studio City project to be built within the Dubailand complex, was launched in February this year to foster the growth of the broadcast, film and music production industries in the region.
The first stage of Dubai Studio City will cover some 20 per cent of the total area of 22 million square feet and construction on the first phase is inclined to be completed by the last quarter of 2006.
