Dubai Municipality will soon start construction of a grand mosque in Hatta at a total cost of three million Emirati dirhams ($816,748). The tender has already been floated for the new structure, which will accommodate a total of 300 worshippers.

According to Project Supervisor at the Projects Designing Section of the General Projects Department Fatima Essa Al-Muhairi, the mosque would be built in two sections with the male section accommodating 250 worshippers and the female section accommodating 50 worshippers.

Al-Muhairi said the mosque would be built on an area of 950 square meters and would also consist of a prayer hall and other necessary facilities such as the ablution area, toilets, prayer leader house, residence for the prayer caller and several commercial shops that will be used as an endowment for the nearby residents. — (menareport.com)
