Dubai: Land deals last week

The total value of land transactions in Dubai last week peaked at Dhs965.23 millions, of which sales exceeded Dhs670 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs295.51 million, according to the Land Department.

 

A total of 47 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of the week, the most valuable of which was a plot in Emirates Hills Second that was sold for Dhs238 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Emirates Hills Second acquired for the sum of Dhs210 million and another in Marsa Dubai for Dhs65 million.

 

The Emirates Hills First area was the most active in terms of the week's sales, with some 22 transactions. Al Barsha Second followed it with 3 sales.

 

During  the period, Emirates Hills Second recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs448 million, followed by the Marsa Dubai area, Dhs85.03 million, and Emirates Hills First area, Dhs48.15 million.

 

The biggest area sold was the 59387 sq ft in the Emirates Hills Second area, which went for Dhs210 million. A 55293 sq ft plot in the Emirates Hills Second Area was acquired for Dhs238 million, while 43443 sq ft of Marsa Dubai was disposed of for Dhs20.03 million.

 

During the period under review 17 mortgages worth Dhs291.21 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs140 million for an area at Mankhool. There was another for Dhs66 million on an area in Port Saeed.
