The total value of land transactions in Dubai during August 19-20 peaked at Dhs120.60 millions, of which sales exceeded Dhs41 million. The total value of mortgages during the period was Dhs79.35 million, according to the Land Department.
A total of 10 sale transactions were registered with the Department by the end of two days, the most valuable of which was a plot in Emirates Hills Second that was sold for Dhs22.218 million. The next two most prominent sales saw a second plot in Al Barsha Second acquired for the sum of Dhs8 million and another in Al Barsha Second for Dhs2.2 million.
The Al Barsha Second area was the most active in terms of two day's sales, with 2 transactions. Al Goze First also had 2 sales.
During the period, Emirates Hills Second recorded the highest turnover by value, at Dhs22.22 million, followed by the Al Barsha Second area, Dhs10.2 million, and Al Waheda area, Dhs1.9 million.
The biggest area sold was the 46287.18 sq ft in the Emirates Hills Second area, which went for Dhs22.22 million. A 15000 sq ft plot in the Al Barsha Second Area was acquired for Dhs8 million, while 10000 sq ft of Al Barsha Second was disposed of for Dhs2.2 million.
During the period under review 57 mortgages worth Dhs76.85 million were registered, the most significant of which as the Dhs31.5 million for an area at Al Barsha First. There was another for Dhs6.14 million on an area in Um Al Sheif.
