Dubai is to host the Middle East’s largest series of health care conferences, with over 35 experts from 10 countries, including the USA, Europe, the Gulf and Levant, Sub Continent and Australia, addressing key medical issues and the latest advances in patient care.
To be staged at the Dubai World Trade Center (DWTC) from January 26 to 29, as part of the Arab Health 2002 exhibition, the seven-discipline conference program will focus on a range of
specialties including E-Health and information systems, dentistry, surgery, hospital management, ophthalmology and radiology.
"Arab Health 2002 will feature more conferences and industry led seminars than ever before as we continue to develop the show as an educational forum," said John Hassett, exhibitions director for organizers IIR Exhibitions. "The extensive conference program will act as a regional primer for the development of health services in the Middle East by shedding light on the latest medical thinking and techniques."
So far 600 companies from 32 countries have contracted to exhibit at the first annual showing of Arab Health, the region’s international hospital medical equipment and services show, that will span five halls at DWTC from January 26-29.
The show will feature 17 national pavilions or industry groups, including those from the UK, France, Germany, Italy, Denmark, the USA, Canada, and for the first time Australia and Finland. Germany will have the largest number of exhibitors, 95, supported by four individual federal states, Saxony, Bavaria, Hessen and Rheinland-Pfalz. Other large groups include the UK with 60 exhibitors, Italy with 50 and France with 40.
Among those participating will be the world’s largest health care company Johnson & Johnson, the UK’s SLE, making its sixth visit to Dubai, France’s GE Medical Systems, a international medical information and technology firm, the University Hospital, Freiburg, one of Germany’s largest hospitals, the UAE’s Al-Hayat Pharmaceuticals and Saudi Arabia’s King Faisal Hospital.
Arab Health 2002, which is supported by the UAE’s Ministry of Health, will include three dedicated sister exhibitions: Arab Dentistry, MEDLAB, for laboratory and biotechnology products and Pharmacy.
