The Expo 2020 House of Volunteers was inaugurated by Her Excellency Reem Al Hashimy, UAE Minister of State for International Cooperation and Director General of Dubai Expo 2020 Bureau on Monday.
Located on the Dubai Expo 2020 site, House of Volunteers will be a dedicated space from which the 30,000 volunteers, part of the 6-month Expo will operate.
The House of Volunteers will, from today, be used as an interview hub to attract and register more than 20,000 additional volunteers for the Expo 2020.

"With 15 dedicated interview hubs within the house of volunteers, up to 260 new recruits can be interviewed in any one day. Interviews will last just 15 minutes and will be very "casual and friendly, more of a get to know you" discussion. Hopeful participants will go through just one interview before being selected," said Abeer Al Hosani, Head of Volunteers, Expo 2020 Dubai.
"The space will aspire to encourage the initiative at the individual and community level. By providing leadership and formal training, out programme will identify and develop capacities for our volunteers, contributing their time and knowledge to visitors of the Expo 2020," Al Hashimy said.
To date, 7,000 volunteers have already registered.
