Dubai Duty Free has reported a 4.5 percent increase in Visa transactions during the first four days of the Forever Dubai campaign, which began on September 10, 2003.
Forever Dubai is a tourism initiative created by DTCM to promote Dubai as a shopping destination as well as to reinforce the city's reputation as the City of Gold during Dubai 2003.
Alongside the cultural show, Forever Dubai features a citywide sales initiative, giving any person who buys goods and services worth a minimum of $55, a chance to win a grand prize of 25 kilos of gold on the night of September 26.
