The Dubai Department of Health and Medical Services (DOHMS) has entered into an agreement with Intertec Systems for the provision of an asset performance management (APM) solution to aid the inventory, tracking and maintenance of its assets.

Director General of DOHMS Qadhi Saeed Al Murooshid, discussing the need for the APM solution said that there are many concerns related to the tracking of biomedical equipment and the management of a medical facility. "Tracking and managing mobile assets, complying with regulatory standards, scheduling and executing preventive and corrective maintenance, guarding and managing an inventory of clinical equipment were some of the major issues and solving these problems at DOHMS, maintaining over 25,000 pieces of equipment in multiple locations and providing health-related services to around one million people was a big challenge,” he said.

Intertec is the authorized partner for Datastream in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The company has an established presence and reach in 140 countries and provides asset management software, integrated procurement, and supporting services to companies – counting among their clients over 60 percent of the Fortune 500. — (menareport.com)
