With a view to encouraging interactive and ongoing dialogue between the private and public sectors in Dubai, the Dubai Department of Economic Development (DED) is organizing a series of meetings with leaders of the emirate's business community across key industry sectors.
The series of five dinner meetings, hosted by Mohamed Ali Alabbar, Director General, DED, will commence next week with a gathering of business leaders from Dubai's trading sector. This will be followed by similar meetings with representatives from the emirate's industrial, financial, services and construction and real estate sectors.
Alabbar said that in the past two decades Dubai had succeeded in creating a vibrant business environment that revolved around the unique partnership between the private and public sectors, and the feedback meetings were aimed at further strengthening these strong ties.
As the apex body mandated with the responsibility of charting the economic development of Dubai, the DED has drawn up the Dubai Strategic Development Plan for the next 20-30 years. The plan aims to exploit Dubai's natural strengths, while further diversifying and broadening its economic and trade base. — (menareport.com)
