Dubai Crown Prince and United Arab Emirates Defense Minister Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al-Maktoum has met Said Al-Hinai, the Managing Director of Oman's Raha bedding and furnishing brand at a trade show in Dubai and congratulated the Raha owner on his firm's progress.
The two met as Sheikh Mohammed called at the Raha stand at Index 2002, the Middle East's biggest trade show and the region's leading exhibition for the furnishing and interiors industry which is running at the Dubai International Exhibition Center.
The Raha brand is manufactured by Poly Products, which has operated from Rusayl for 23 years. The company has a 240 square meter stand at Index and its General Manager Syed Anwar Ahsan said the company is now conceptualizing Sleep Galleries which it hopes to introduce into the Gulf. The galleries would showcase the Raha brand and the leading US brand Simmons, for which we manufacture under license.
Poly Products, which has a 50,000 square meter factory in Rusayl and employs 500 people, takes part in around 13 industry-specific trade shows every year but says Index is the most important for it. It is now looking to expand into other Middle Eastern markets and has now entered into an exclusive agreement with a dealer in Jordan. Poly Products is the sole Omani company at Index 2002, which features almost 1,200 exhibitors from 53 countries and 23 national pavilions. — (menareport.com)
