The Dubai Department of Tourism and Commerce Marketing (DTCM) is organizing a series of road shows in London, Dublin, and Manchester from October 2-7 as part of its continuing efforts to further promote the emirate in two of its key markets, the UK and Ireland.
Being organized for the third year, the road shows have been designed for the travel agents, tour operators and conference and incentive markers. Up to 500 travel industry decision-makers are expected to attend the seminars and workshops, two in Dublin and one each in Manchester and London.
The road shows are being co-sponsored by the Emirates, Net Group of Companies and the Jumeirah International. This year's promotional show has attracted 28 co-participants, the biggest so far.
The number of tour operators promoting Dubai has also gone up significantly, by almost 72 percent. Hotel establishments in Dubai played host to a total of 447,006 UK guests last year, an increase of 28.27 percent compared with the 348,477 guests in the year 2001.
Dubai is connected to London, Birmingham and Manchester with up to 93 weekly flights operated by the Emirates and other international airlines. — (menareport.com)
