The Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) is hosting a seminar on Malta on Wednesday. The seminar aims to consolidate economic relations between the two countries. This seminar is organized following the opening of the Maltese Trade center last April.
Director General of the Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI) Abdul Rahman Ghanim Al-Mutaiwee, met with the Director of the Malta Trade Center Anthony Tabone on Sunday morning and discussed matters relating to the seminar.
Al-Mutaiwee mentioned that official representatives of Malta will participate in this seminar to talk about the investment climate in Malta and the potentials of Malta as a commercial gateway to South European states. Along with this seminar, a Maltese delegation will visit Dubai, consisting of delegates representing seven establishments specializing in tools, foodstuff, toys, engineering services, and finance. The delegates will meet with their counterparts of the Chamber’s members, to establish commercial relations.
The Director of the Malta Trade Center in Dubai stated that Malta has adopted a program to consolidate relations with the Gulf Region via Dubai. As part of this program, Malta is participating in five international exhibitions to be held in Dubai before the end of this year, as well organizing delegations of businessmen.
The trade exchange with Malta is currently around 80 million Emirati dirhams ($21 million) and Malta is exerting efforts to develop this trade in co-operation with the DCCI. — (menareport.com)
