A Dubai-based firm, Gulf FZE, has tabled a $50 million offer to build ‘Disneyland in Pakistan’, reported the Associated Press of Pakistan. The recreational park will be the world’s largest ever built. The park will be located on an island near Karachi and offer state-of-the-art technology.
The park is to be constructed in Karachi along the seaboard. Among the attractions, expected to lure in millions of visitors every year, are a massive shopping center, theme park, freezing world, raining world, water world, live jungle, Pakistani culture park, golf park, adventure park and a universal park.
The freezing world and raining world are the two most extreme aspects of the park. Freezing world will be built indoors and maintain a five degrees Celsius temperature year round, whereas raining world will have artificial rain throughout the year.
Disneyland of Pakistan will compete with the rest of the world in terms of height, speed, and have the longest track ever built. The shopping center will be built alongside the sea with a 1.5 km footpath. The footpath will be open to the public free of charge for walking, jogging, fishing, exercise and other recreational activities.
Much of the technology to be used in constructing the various attractions comes from NASA research, and themes based on science fiction books and entertainment. The terms of the agreement were not to be confirmed by November 19th. — (Albawaba-MEBG)
