The regional manager of al-Marikhi Industrial Complex, Mohammad Ahmad al-Marikhi, revealed that Al-Marikhi Tower Project, which is considered the last tower to be constructed in Al-Maktum street in Dubai, will be ready for rent through Batir Homes Company in 2008. Al-Bayan newspaper reported on March 31, 2005 that al-Marikhi Tower would include 21 floors for housing and commercial uses, including 3 underground floors, with total costs of 6Dh0 million ($16.3 million).
It has a strategic location in the middle of Al-Maktum street in Dubai, adjunct to M.M. Tower and close to The Property and Lands Department, Dubai Chamber of Commerce and Industry and other governmental institutions.
The project will include 70 housing and commercial units. Commercial offices will be placed at the first floor, while the apartments will be located in the other floors, along with a swimming pool, a sport club and stores. The number of apartments in this tower will amount to 64 flats; each of them will include two bedrooms. The area of each apartment will be 1,450 square feet, equipped with the most modern house technologies. The tower will have also three parking lots with 99 places for cars.
Construction works on the project began at the end of 2004, and it is expected to be ended in the middle of 2008. Arenco Real Estate Company is responsible for consultant for the project.
