Domestic trade contributes 13% to Morocco’s GDP, said Monday, premier Driss Jettou, at the opening of the third national forum of domestic trade.
Jettou stressed that the sector which employs 250,000 people is experiencing deep socio-economic mutations and higher consumption, which require a comprehensive approach to improve the skills of tradesmen and integrate non-formal activities into the national commercial fabric.
According to MAP, he added that the government has directed last year more than Dh105 million (US$ 11.6 million) to settle peddlers. (menareport.com)
