Some Doha's residential streets will be converted into commercial ones, Ali Abdullah Al Abdullah, General Manager of the Urban Planning and Development Authority, said at a press conference, according to the Peninsula.
"This project is in response to fulfil huge commercial demand," said the official. Compensation will be given to those who are affected. 'This will not have an impact on rents, especially as several apartments and villas are under construction. We are also expecting to see a drop in rents after the Asian Games in December," he said.
