Diversified Industries has announced that High Arctic/SEAL International, Diversified's distributor in the Middle East, has reported that all parties associated with their customer trial of the Company's DVS 6000 hydrogen sulphide (H2S) scavenger in the Middle East are satisfied with the product performance to date. This trial has been running for 50 days and the product continues to perform well.
High Arctic/SEAL International of Dubai, initiated a customer trial of Diversified's DVS 6000 H2S scavenger in the Middle East and has recently provided an update of the product performance. The customer trial is being conducted in a stationary scrubber owned by Halliburton and located on a BP Amoco lease. The DVS 6000 is being used as a replacement for ammonia as the scrubbing solution on an under-balanced drilling operation.
At the time of the report, the DVS 6000 had been in the Halliburton-owned scrubber in excess of 50 days and was still performing well. All parties connected with the trial are extremely satisfied with the product performance thus far. Safety consultants from Canada working in Iran are monitoring the success of the DVS 6000 at the BP Amoco site in anticipation of using DVS 6000 at Iranian sites in the near future. High Arctic/SEAL International sees significant sales potential for the DVS 6000 product in the Middle East as a result of this customer trial. The two companies are working together on the development of a marketing program targeting this region.
DVS 6000 is non-corrosive, non-flammable, has a freeze point below minus 45 degrees C, has a mild odor, is non-regulated under the Transportation of Dangerous Goods Act of Canada, and customers have found it lasts up to eight times longer than ammonia. DVS 6000 can be used in stationary scrubbers, truck scrubbers, storage tank vent gas scrubbing, vessel decontamination, under-balanced drilling, bleed downs, high-output vacuum trucks, and drill-stem testing.
Diversified is a product development and marketing company specializing in technologies and solutions targeting a cross section of industries. Diversified has developed its first technology, DVS 6000, for the removal of various contaminants from oil, gas, air and water. The most notable of these contaminants is H2S, which, according to the US Environmental Protection Agency, is a problem in 75 industries in North America.
