Dubai Islamic Bank (DIB) aims to increase the current level of Emiratization within its staff to 34 percent through the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Career Fair 2003 taking place at the Dubai International Airport Expo that ended April 23. DIB has one of the highest levels of Emiratisation in the financial sector with over 31 percent of its staff UAE nationals.

Ahmed Al-Sirkal, head of the Human Resources and Administrative Affairs Department at the bank noted: “DIB has made a concerted effort to foster local talent and believes in creating the right opportunities to attract highly qualified, skilled UAE nationals.”

He added: “The UAE Career Fair 2003 provides an ideal networking opportunity for UAE nationals who are seeking to enter the financial sector. DIB is always keen to take part in such events in order to showcase its products and services and offer career opportunities to qualified UAE graduates. These events allow us to receive applications, select top candidates and subsequently enter them into special training programs.”

Established in 1975, Dubai Islamic Bank is considered to be the world’s first Islamic bank having been the first to adopt full Shariah compliance throughout its operations. The economic and business philosophy of Islam encourages profit generation and sharing. However, it forbids the giving or taking of interest. — (menareport.com)
