March 2003 will see the Gulf International Convention Center in Bahrain host the first international conference and exhibition entitled Opportunities and Challenges for the Middle East Detergents, Surfactants and Cosmetics Industry.
The event is being organized by the Gulf Society for Detergent Manufacture (GSDM), based in Bahrain and IBC Gulf Conferences. The role of the society is to provide business intelligence and information to members, which comprise individuals and companies involved in the utilization of detergents within their core business activities.
The Middle East's detergents industry is going through significant change driven by changing consumer needs and expectations, new and changing technologies, e-commerce, international industry consolidation and reorganization. This conference will examine how these changes are affecting the Middle East industry and what we can expect in the future.
The industry gathering will present the only opportunity for key figures to assemble for two days of discussion and debate. The event will cover the latest issues within the industry, delivered via plenary sessions and discussion, including: Soap, raw materials and machinery
Production lines for the detergents industry, Environmental research, Lab analysis, research and development, Market research, Toiletries, New trends in detergent, soap and toiletries formulations, Detergent builders and ingredients.
Professionals from all sectors of the detergents industry will attend. The international audience will be supplemented by a significant presence of Gulf based participants from the GSDM along with Middle East representatives from leading companies involved in the industry. Representatives from Governments and Organizations involved in the detergents, surfactants and cosmetics industries will also be present.
Speakers presenting during the course of the two days will speak on the latest developments and technologies within the industry and will be from local as well as multi-national corporations within these fields. An exhibition will run along side the event providing regional and international companies with the opportunity to promote their products and services.
