The Barr Al-Jissah finance agreement was signed at Barr Al-Jissah resort project site in Muscat Governorate between Barr Al-Jissah Resort Company and local and international banks offering required loans of RO. 40 million for the project, ONA reported.
The Gulf International Bank, HSBC, Bank Muscat, Bank of Dhofar and Arab Bank offered funds for the project.
85% of the project has now being completed. Shangri-la company was chosen as the resort operator. The project includes Al-Hisn 6 star hotel (180 rooms and suites), Al-Bandar 5 star hotel (198 rooms and suites with specially designed suite for tourists and businessmen) and the Oasis 5 star hotel (302 rooms).
The project also includes a full fledged health club, an Omani heritage village, around 90 restaurants and coffee shops, a conference and entertainment hall, more than 10 meetings halls and a number of swimming pools.
The Barr Al Jissah resort is approximately 12km south of Muscat. It is built on a 450,000 sq. m. of beachfront property.
