Egypt’s Delta International Bank recorded a 12 percent decrease in net profits in the first quarter of 2002, reaching 28.5 million Egyptian pounds (six million dollars) compared with EP 32.4 million during the same period in the previous year, reported Al-Akhbar.
The bank posted stable interest revenues of EP 47.7 million, which were coupled with a three percent slip in interest expense that reached EP 23.8 million, leading to a three percent increase in net interest income that reached EP 23.9 million. — (menareport.com)
