A newly released Datamonitor report states that Israel’s NICE Systems had a 20.9 percent market share worldwide in the fourth quarter of 2002 and expanded its leadership in fast growing contact center segment to 25.4 percent.
NICE Systems, a international supplier of multimedia recording solutions, applications and related professional services for business interaction management, was ranked the leading vendor for Q4 2002 in the Recording Industry Quarterly report with an increase in market share to 20.9 percent share of the market, primarily the result of acquiring Thales Contact Solutions (TCS).
NICE also increased its market leadership in the fast-growing contact center segment with a 25.4 percent share, the first time a vendor surpassed 25 percent market share. NICE gained market share even during the quarter it was integrating the TCS acquisition. In Datamonitor's Q3 report on the contact center segment, NICE had 20 percent share and TCS had three percent share.
According to Datamonitor's Q4 2002 Recording Industry Quarterly report, published in May 2003, which reports on the call recording and quality monitoring industry, NICE led in every geographic segment, due to NICE's strong performance in North America and TCS's strength in Europe.
NICE's market share in each region was: 17.3 percent in North America, 25.7 percent in Western Europe, 28.1 percent in Asia Pacific and 16.7 percent in Rest of the World. "We continue to enjoy tremendous success despite this tough, competitive market," said Haim Shani, president and CEO of NICE Systems.
Headquartered in Ra'anana, Israel, NICE Systems’ products and solutions are used in contact centers, trading floors, air traffic control (ATC) sites, CCTV (closed circuit television) security installations and government markets.
NICE's subsidiaries and local offices are based in the United States, Germany, United Kingdom, France and Hong Kong. The company operates in more than 100 countries through a network of partners and distributors. — (menareport.com)
