Danish engineering company COWI A/S has been contracted by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Public Works to prepare a preliminary study for a 22-kilometer bridge. The bridge, which would link Kuwait City to the development area of Subiyah, would be the world's fifth longest bridge.
The bridge project is to be undertaken in cooperation with local companies and the Danish companies Sund & Baelt, DHI and Dissing + Weitling.
