Luxury lifestyle provider, DAMAC Properties, has appointed Al Awtan Contracting (LLC) as the main contractor for its Emirates Gardens-1 project at Jumeirah Village South. The construction of the project will commence in July 2007 and is scheduled to take 19 months for final completion.
Formed in 1986, Al Awtan is one of the largest established civil construction companies in Dubai. “This project at Jumeirah Village South will be built with highest construction standards offering the latest in living standards. We are confident that Al Awtan will come up with a world class finish based on the wealth of experience that the company has gathered over the last two decades,” said Peter Riddoch, CEO, DAMAC Properties.
Emirates Gardens-1 spread over 750,000 sq. ft. comes with a mixture of studios, 1 and 2 bedroom luxurious apartments and retail on the ground level. The project comes with a full range of leisure facilities including health club, gym, sauna, steam, swimming pool and roof garden including child play areas.
Enabling Works including shoring and excavation is in progress and will be completed by M/s International Foundation Group (IFG) by the first week of July 2007.
Resident infrastructure in Jumeirah Village South include: two international schools, town and country clubs, community center, medical facilities, veterinary clinics, round the clock security, waterway system-with walkways that not only connects the community but also provides an alternative pedestrian system and enhances the retail and residential developments that line its banks.
In addition, residents of Jumeirah Village South can enjoy tranquility unlimited walking, jogging and cycling trails, community sports, oasis promenades and neighborhood parks. The development also has a central park - a gently sloping hill that rises above the surrounding land to provide a perfect location for the iconic sunrise viewing pavilion. Jumeirah Village South is a new freehold residential development centrally located near Dubai Media City, Dubai Internet City and the Jebel Ali Free zones.
