Cyprus Airways’ expansion linked to nation’s take off to EU

Cyprus’ likely membership of the European Union (EU) is mirrored by the national airline’s fleet expansion. With the addition of two new Airbus A330-200 aircraft, Cyprus Airways is nearing the final stages of its fleet renewal plan. The first of the two aircraft arrived in Cyprus in Decemberand the second will touch down next April.  

 

In 2003, Cyprus Airways’ fleet will consist of two A319, eight A320 and two A330 aircraft for Cyprus Airways, and four Boeing B737-800s for charter arm Eurocypria. The A330 will operate long distance routes, serving destinations such as London, Paris and Amsterdam. — (menareport.com)
