The first Cypriot pavilion to be present at the Global Village, the international attraction of the Dubai Shopping Festival, will be a colorful showcase of products from the Mediterranean island.
This new pavilion, which will span 625 meters, will sell shoes crafted from Cypriot leather, hand-made clay pottery, and specialty food for which the Island of Aphrodite is renowned, including honey and halloumi cheese.
Cyprus is among a number of new national pavilions to sign up for Global Village 2003, which opens on January 15 at the start of the Dubai Shopping Festival. Some 31 country and specialty pavilions have signed up for Global Village 2003, including, for the first time, a privately-organized international jewellery court pavilion. — (menareport.com)
