The new Crowne Plaza Resort Petra celebrated its opening on Thursday, December 13. The former Petra Forum Hotel was re-branded as the Crowne Plaza to be managed by Six Continent Hotels. It is the first Crowne Plaza in Jordan and the tenth in the Middle East and Africa region.
The 178-bedroom resort faces the Petra Mountains and is located minutes away from the entrance to the old city of Petra where tourists have easy access to numerous historical sights such as the Castle of Shawbakh and the desert of Wadi Rum.
The UK-based Six Continents Hotels company owns, manages, leases or franchises more than 3,260 hotels and 514,000 guest rooms in nearly 100 countries and territories. — (menareport.com)
