The general manager of Emirates Real Estate Corporation (EREC), Abdullah al-Huriz, has announced that the company had finished the first stage of the construction of the foreign ministry's building in Dubai, reported Al-Bayan daily on November 1.
The project costs are estimated at Dh20 million ($5.4 million), according to Al-Huriz. The new building will be constructed in Dubai's Um Harir region on a 7,975.5 square meter area. The building is composed of an underground floor, a ground floor and three additional floors. Works on the project scheduled to be ended next June.
EREC is responsible for the selection and design of all federal ministry buildings in the UAE as well as worldwide, including the insurance and maintenance of these properties. Among the buildings that the company had already finished are the following: the ministry of education, the ministry of work and social affairs, ministry of public works and housing in Dubai, and the Emirate embassy and the ambassador's house in Berlin, and the Emirate Consulate in Munich.
