Gulf's supplier of Halal meat products Co-Op Islami, has announced the launch of a new catering services company called Emdad aimed at meeting the needs of its customers.
The new catering services company will provide door-to-door food services backed by a staff and a large fleet of refrigerated trucks. Emdad will offer customers a range of products and services including fresh and frozen meats , seafood, canned and chilled meats, a variety of cheeses, beverages and also disposable and non-disposable crockery and cutlery, paper and packaging products.
Co-Op Islami was set up by the Dubai Cooperative Society in 1981 to provide halal meat products as per Islamic methods with chicken the first product launched by the company and today Co-Op Islami enjoys a sizable share of the market in the Gulf.
After starting with frozen chicken, Co-Op Islami expanded to provide burgers, sausages, kebabs and minced meat. In 1991 the Co-op Islami plant, boasting state-of-the-art technology, was set up in Jebel Ali Free Zone. New machinery has recently been introduced to further enhance production and quality. — (menareport.com)
