Emirati meat processing company, Co-op Islami has significantly increased production of its frozen chickens to meet heavy demand for these products in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) and regional markets.

Co-op Islami's production policies have ensured that strict quality and hygiene measures were followed right from the time the chickens left the farm gate to the point they were placed in the freezer.Consumption of chicken in the UAE market was increasing due to the increase in population. Co-op Islami products were increasingly becoming popular with customers in the UAE, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Iran and Yemen.

Throughout the production process, Co-op Islami adheres to the most stringent quality controls for both frozen and canned products including elaborate tests carried out at the laboratory at the Jebel Ali factory and also periodic inspections by Dubai Municipality officials. Co-op Islami, which was established in 1981, has been rewarded for its strict quality control procedures with a number of awards from international organizations including the HACCP certification and the ISO 9001 certification.

Co-op Islami was set up by Dubai Cooperative Society in 1981 to provide halal meat products as per Islamic methods. Starting with frozen chicken, Co-op Islami expanded to provide burgers, sausages, kebabs and minced meat. — (menareport.com)
