Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari Group are sponsoring a car in the upcoming Porsche Mobil 1 Supercup 2007 for the second year running. The decision comes following the huge success of last year’s Porsche Michelin Supercup, where the car sponsored by City of Arabia triumphed on the tracks of Bahrain, Silverstone, Magny Cours and Monza. Ilyas and Mustafa Galadari as well as Stephen Sohn of SPS were delighted to make the announcement during an official signing ceremony.
Ilyas Galadari, Chairman, commented, “Both Mustafa and I are passionate about motorsports and were excited to be involved with the Porsche championship last year. It was an international success and we are anticipating that this year will be just as memorable. This sponsorship provides a perfect opportunity to align City of Arabia with another successful brand.”

The Porsche car, decorated with the vibrant colors of City of Arabia displays the project in an international arena, introducing it to a wider audience.

In the ever changing landscape of Dubai, City of Arabia will bring together, leisure, retail and luxury, with 20m sq ft development which will include the vast Mall of Arabia and a world class dinosaur theme park, the Restless Planet. It promises to be an important element in Dubai’s growing travel industry and one of the key attractions in the region.
City of Arabia
The City of Arabia, which is being developed by the Ilyas & Mustafa Galadari Group, is a multi million dollar project of 20m sq ft of land in the Downtown area of Dubailand. It will include the largest shopping mall in the region, the Mall of Arabia; the Restless Planet, a dinosaur theme park with over 100 animatronic dinosaurs; a 10 km long Wadi Walk with Mediterranean-style apartments, cafes and shops beside a flowing canal; and 34 tower blocks for mixed commercial, hotel and residential use. The project will, when completed, provide accommodation for around 35,000 residents.
This new City, at the heart of Dubailand, will be a magnet for the existing residents of Dubai and visitors alike; tourist facilities will include a 4-star hotel over the entrance to the Mall of Arabia and a smaller boutique hotel on an island in the waterway.
The City of Arabia, which will have its own monorail people-mover linking the residential areas to the Mall and the Restless Planet, will open its first development in 2009.
