The volume of trade exchange between Saudi Arabia and China amounted to $14.5 billion in the first 11 months of 2005. This figure constitutes an increase of about 59 percent compared to the same period in 2004.
The Kingdom exports to China oil, chemical fertilizers and raw materials for the chemical industries, while China exports to the Kingdom textiles, products of light industries, grains and oils. In 2004, China imported from the Kingdom over 17 million ton of crude oil, which amounted to 13.8 percent of China's crude oil imports, according to Chinese charge d'Affaires in Riyadh, Wang Kejian.
