ALBAWABA- Chinese mobile manufacturer Tecno has released their first flip-style foldable phone that caters to a budget market called the Tecno Phantom V Flip.
The Phantom V Flip first made its appearance during its big “Flip in Style” Singapore launch event on Sept. 22, 2023, and it was confirmed that the phone would cost approximately $600 making it nearly half the price of Samsung's Flip 5 which starts at $950.
This phone is special because it will benefit consumers as well as the competition by encouraging other phone manufacturers to reduce the cost of flip and foldable phones, which will lead to more competitive specs and prices.
What comes in the box of Tecno's Phantom V Flip?
Many phone manufacturers are ditching the idea of adding a power brick in their phone's box for "environmental reasons" but that is not the case with the Phantom V Flip since it comes with a 45-watt charger and a USB-C cable.

A beast of a phone for the price tag
Despite having a cheaper price tag than its competition, the Phantom V Flip's specs are still top of the line with a battery capacity of 4,000 mAh making it higher than the Samsung Flip 5's 3,700 mAh battery.
The device will also ship with Tecno's custom HIOS Android 13 and has the ability to fold completely flat while also finding space for the screen to rest without being pressed together.
This allows the device to have an unnoticeable crease when viewing it normally unlike other phones in the market.

A watch-like cover screen with a cute companion
Tecno introduced a circular screen as its cover display and called it "the planet design," its usage is similar to that of a smartwatch by having cute companions, fitness tracking, weather forecasts, a stopwatch, and a music tile for easily switching to your favorite song.
The cover also allows for custom themes, similar to smartwatch faces, and the addition of cute companions like those mentioned above including a fox, dogs, cats, and a parrot!
Expect Tecno's Phantom V Flip to hit markets on Oct. 1, 2023.
