Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez held talks overnight with King Fahd and Crown Prince Abdullah bin Abdul Aziz seeking stronger ties between the two OPEC powers, the SPA news agency reported Sunday.
Venezuelan Energy Minister Alvaro Silva Calderon and Saudi Oil Minister Ali al-Nuaimi joined the talks.
Chavez, who arrived Saturday, was to spend five days in Saudi Arabia and a day in neighbouring Qatar.
