A Filipino charity group in Bahrain has raised enough funds to build 15 homes for the needy in the Philippines, just over three months since it was formed, the GDN reported.
Since the group's launch in November 2005, pledges for 60 homes, amounting to more than BD22,800, have been received from the Filipino community in Bahrain. This is enough to build the first Bahrain Gawad Kalinga Village in the Philippines.
