Canon Middle East and ACCPAC, an end-to-end e-business solutions provider, recently announced the completion of a regional project to automate management support for Canon Middle East’s regional operations using ACCPAC’s e-business solutions.
Systronics, ACCPAC’s partner in the UAE, develops add-ons for ACCPAC’s Advantage Series to meet the needs of Canon’s regional operations and is to provide consulting and support to the company.
“In terms of financial management and operational efficiency, ACCPAC’s Advantage Series 5.0 streamlines our operations in the region and will result in great decision making tools that will help us better service our customers and partners in the region, especially when it comes to managing our finances, the movement of our products and forecasting trends in the market,” commented Adnan Minty, finance and administrative controller at Canon Middle East.
ACCPAC Advantage Series Enterprise Edition is a component of ACCPAC’s end-to-end e-business solutions. Integrated back-office operations include multicurrency support, extensive reporting, drill-down analysis and support for simultaneous multiple languages including Arabic, French, Chinese and Spanish.
Systronics has developed integration tools to be deployed by Canon Middle East and Canon South Africa. “These tools allow us to seamlessly integrate and exchange information, in real time, with our offices in Europe and South Africa, which will save us time and money, and speed up our reaction to market changes and customer needs,” added Minty. Canon South Africa are also users of ACCPAC.
“One of the great benefits for Canon is the ability to externalize its financials once it decides to conduct business with partners directly on the internet, with minimum hassles involved in upgrading its systems,” said Zareh Tutunjian, managing director of Systronics. “The Advantage Series 5.0 is the first financial package in the world with a web-interface that links the company’s web-front to its back office stock management and this gives a company like Canon clear advantages in building a faster, more responsive channel.”
From 10 partners in February 2001, ACCPAC developed its channel partners across the region and today, the company has more than 35 certified partners in the GCC, Levant and North African regions.
