Canada-based Syscan International has secured its first technology deal in Saudi Arabia. An initial shipment, valued at approximately $100,000 was received last week as part of a one million dollar IT goods purchase order, stated a press release.
Syscan expects to deliver the rest of the goods, which includes mobile application technology, software, rugged mobile printers and RFID transponders and readers, over the next 12 months.
“In the summer of 2003 we instituted initiatives to increase our exposure abroad and it is beginning to produce dividends,” said President and CEO of Syscan, Axel Striefler. “The Gulf Cooperation Council is a high priority market for Syscan.”
Syscan specializes in delivering RFID based business efficiency solutions to a wide variety of industries that characteristically function in harsh and difficult operating environments. Its standardized supply chain solutions include asset tracking, temperature monitoring and quality control methodologies for meat processing, the food and health care sectors, transportation and automobile production. — (menareport.com)
