Computer Associates International (CA) announced support for a uniform version of Linux for Business, known as UnitedLinux, across its broad portfolio of eBusiness management solutions.
“CA has provided continued support to the Linux platform in the marketplace, and we believe the speed of adoption of this platform will enhance further, with the uniform Linux version now being made available for business use,” said Managing Director of Computer Associates Middle East operations, AbdulAziz Al-Salloum.
UnitedLinux addresses the enterprise customers’ need for a standard, business-focused Linux distribution that is certified to work across hardware and software platforms, speeding the adoption of Linux in the enterprise. It will provide one unified Linux, developed and supported by Caldera International
CA offers more than 50 solutions that enable organizations to manage, secure, preserve and integrate Linux distributed and mainframe implementations across their heterogeneous enterprises. CA will continue to work closely with the Linux community to ensure the full compatibility of its solutions with all major distributions, including Red Hat.
