British investments in Egypt’s oil and gas sectors are expected to reach $8 billion in the next four years, minister of petroleum, Sameh Fahmi, was quoted in the weekly Middle East Times. Fahmi’s remarks came after a recent meeting of the British-Egyptian Businessmen's Council in London, said the weekly.
The meeting centered around three main topics: attracting foreign investments in Egypt, increasing exports, and boosting cultural ties between the two countries.
The council has managed to attract $4 billion over the past three years, reported the weekly, and exports to Britain rose by 65 percent last year – (Albawaba-MEBG)
