British Airways introduced the first Airbus A321-200 aircraft to its Middle East network, which will be put to service on the Beirut-London route this week, as part of the airline’s effort to increase passenger capacity.
The Beirut-London route is operated by British Airways franchise partner British Mediterranean Airways. “Offering increased capacity to key markets is part of our long term strategy,” a British Airways press release stated.
The new aircraft, recently delivered from the Airbus factory in Hamburg, has a total of 149 seats, an increase of 25 on the A320 aircraft previously used on the route. The A321-200 has 31 seats in Club World, up from 22, and 118 World Traveler seats, up from 102. — (menareport.com)
