Broadcast Microwave Services (BMS) has been selected by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Armed Services to provide microwave communications equipment for a command center and infrastructure system for border security.

The contract, valued at approximately $8.5 million, will see the installation of Coded Orthogonal Frequency Division Multiplexing transmission (COFDM) technology from the BMS product line. The system is expected to be installed this year and will enable secure video and audio transmission from aircraft, ships or vehicles to be monitored real time and distributed to remote viewing stations.
