ALBAWABA - Bluesky, a social media platform known for competing with Musk's X (formerly Twitter), recently mocked Grok AI, saying that Jeffrey Epstein would've loved Grok AI, because it allowed users to generate explicit images of women and children.

Bluesky took to X and wrote, "Sad Epstein isn’t alive to use Grok. He would have loved it," sparking mixed reactions on the platform. An X user clapped back and wrote, "posted on X because no one would have seen it on Bluesky."

Another wrote, "Shots like this grab attention, but they do not really move the conversation on safety or deployment forward."

Grok AI, allowing users to generate explicit images of women and children, prompted countries like the UK to threaten to block the AI companion, following an investigation by an independent media regulator, Ofcom. According to the BBC, X has since stopped allowing users to generate such content.

According to Sky News, the investigation was launched under the Online Safety Act, with Ofcom stating that it contacted the social media platform on Monday and set a deadline for Friday for X to "explain what steps it has taken to comply with its duties to protect its users in the UK."

By the time of reporting, Bluesky garnered over 40,000 users since its launch in February 2024 and more than 26.2 million, according to Backlinko. In contrast, X has over 561 million active users with more than 130 million daily users.

However, while the number of users between Bluesky and X is vast, many Bluesky users remain loyal to the social media platform, with over 3.5 million daily users.
