Bitcoin jumps to new record high amid US elections

ALBAWABA - Bitcoin has seen a significant increase to a new record high on Wednesday. The currency hit $75,005 succeeding its latest top peak of $73,797.98 made last March.

 According to AFP, the Bitcoin increase happened as traders "bet on a victory" of Republican candidate Donald Trump in the US elections.

The digital currency jumped to $75,005 at around 0300 GMT.

US elections:

Former US President Donald Trump has just won the states of Texas, Louisiana and Montana succeeding 198 votes till the moment of writing the article.

Meanwhile, Kamala Harris has won key states including Massachusetts, Rhode Island, and Maryland making 112 votes.

Each candidate needs at least 270 votes to win presidential elections.
