Director General of the Dubai Technology, E-Commerce and Media Free Zone Authority, Ahmad Bin Byat, has officially opened a new CompuBase information technology (IT) center, capable of accommodating over 100 trainees at a time.

VIP industry delegates, including the regional heads of HP, IBM, Microsoft and Oracle, were among those touring the new spacious facility. Housed in the Sultan Business Center, next to Lamcy Plaza in Bur Dubai, the facility offers Microsoft Technical Certification as well as application and other hardware training. In addition to an area for CompuBase's proprietary walk-in, flexible training system (FTS), there are several equipped training rooms for corporate and executive training.

Additionally, there is a computer workshop for hardware training, an in-house executive lounge and online certification examination rooms. The CompuBase centre is staffed by 20 highly experienced, bilingual trainers who can provide on and off-site training.

CompuBase is the only Microsoft Certified Technical Education Center approved by the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Ministry of Education. It is also an accredited certification center for the UNESCO-supported International Computer Driving Licence (ICDL), the global competency standard for computer literacy. — (menareport.com)
