BenQ, Saudi Arabia’s best-selling projector brand, has recorded a 50 percent Q1 growth in overall revenues in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia compared to Q1 last year.
The global digital lifestyle leader has posted a record growth in four segments, including 35 percent in LCD TVs; 40 percent in projectors; 125 percent in digital cameras and 15 percent in LCD monitors.
“These results are a vindication of our increased marketing efforts in the Kingdom, which accounts for over 20 percent of our Middle East and Africa sales,” said Manish Bakshi, General Manager, Middle East and Africa, BenQ.
“Earlier this year we appointed a dedicated country sales manager and kicked-off a three-city roadshow in Saudi Arabia, which was a resounding success and helped strengthen our partner relations.
“Our major partners, including Metra Computers who has an excellent track record for after-sales support and customer service in the Saudi market, have played a significant role in our local success.
“And to celebrate this, we have introduced a reseller scheme for our channel partners in the western, eastern and central provinces of Saudi Arabia.”
Through this new scheme that will award resellers on achieving specific targets, BenQ aims at encouraging its channel to boost sales of its high-end LCD monitors and digital cameras in the Kingdom.
“BenQ is the proven leader in Saudi Arabia’s computing and consumer electronics market and our innovative customer and partner initiatives will help sustain this healthy revenue and profit growth,” said Robert Dung, Managing Director, Middle East and Africa, BenQ.
“We will continue to introduce world-class home entertainment and professional solutions in Saudi Arabia and forge important alliances with key local partners to capitalise on our current market leadership in the Kingdom.”
