BenQ has announced a regional restructuring of its account management function, including the appointment of Syed Mansoor Hussain into a new role to support its digital lifestyle products across the region.

BenQ's account management restructuring is designed to support its ambitious territory and product line expansion program, which has seen the company serve a number of new territories directly from its Dubai headquarters, and launch an average of three products every month in 2003.

Mansoor, who joins BenQ from Al-Futtaim Electronics, will be responsible for stimulating sales of a number of key BenQ products, including its range of CD-Rom media and its new Joybook mobile computer line.

BenQ's Jebel Ali plant has become the nerve-centre of its operations in the Middle East, shipping lifestyle products to countries across the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC), Levant, North Africa and South Africa, with plans to ship products direct to India by the end of the year. — (menareport.com)
