BEMO posts 2000 results

Banque Europeene pour le Moyen-Orient S.A.L. (BEMO) published its unaudited financial statements for 2000 showing net income at LP5.22 billion $3.47 million), up 16.7 percent from LP4.48 billion ($2.97 million) in 1999. The bank’s assets grew by 15.7 percent to LP659.53 billion ($437.5 million), while customer deposits were LP77.59 billion ($51.47 million) higher at LP540.56 billion ($358.58 million). BEMO’s loan portfolio increased 15.11 percent to LP186.06 billion ($123.42 million) from a year before. — ( Lebanon Invest )
