Belgium’s Atelier d’Art Urbain Group plans to build a sea resort in southern Morocco’s Essaouira city. With a target date of completion set for 2010, the project is expected to cost one billion euros, according to a company official.
Acting administrator of Atelier Jean Pierre Reynders said that the tourism complex will feature two golf courses, residential developments and hotels with a capacity of 6,000 beds, reported MAP. The Belgian firm expects to collaborate with French and Dutch partners during the project’s development.
Founded in 1979, Atelier handles large-scale construction projects in over ten countries. In the Middle East the company’s developments include the Nile City Financial Center in Cairo, Egypt and the Klassis Golf and Country Club in Istanbul, Turkey. — (menareport.com)
